Dear Parents and Students,
Thank you for choosing George Washington Carver Elementary School as your child’s educational institution. On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2016-2017 school year.
We are proud to offer an International Studies/International Education Magnet Program. Our educational curricula focuses on providing a multilingual program with an academically challenging and rigorous curriculum. Our magnet theme is “Conquering the World, one language at a time.” We are also excited to announce the launch of our new website which will assist us in communicating and highlighting the educational programs, events, and students at Little Carver.
Our students did well on the Florida Standards Assessment Test in English Language Arts and Mathematics, as well as on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test in Science. As we celebrate the accomplishments and successes of last school year, the dedicated faculty is eager to continue to work together to foster a rich and positive educational setting where students can achieve their maximum potential.
We will continue to provide additional educational services through tutoring, mentoring and counseling to enhance student learning and personal growth for success in a global society. With the support of our staff, students, parents and community, we know that we will increase our students' academic achievement and increase parent involvement.
Along with our PTA we encourage your support and ideas. We look forward to a proactive and successful partnership. To our returning families, I would like to say WELCOME BACK and to our new families, I would like to say WELCOME to the Little Carver Family. We’re glad you’re here!
